The Verona Cattail Festival Car Show
15th Annual was held on August 8, 2010
Sunday of the Festival Weekend
The Car Show, held on Sunday of the Festival Weekend, has grown every one of its 15 years, from less than 50 cards in
1995 to approximately 145 cars in 2010. Vehicles arrive from Cobourg, Ottawa, Brockville, Wolfe Island, Prince Edward County and all points between.
Many cash donations and gifts allow us to keep our registration fee to a low $3.00 per entry. Each entry receives a free photo of their car
and a chance to win an attendance prize (some valued as high as $75).
Most vehicles arrive by 10:00am and leave around 3:30pm. A live band plays from 12:00 noon to 3:00pm. The usual musical flavour is Country and Western.
In 2010 we were entertained by Bill White's Band. Spectators, strollers and browsers are welcome and there is no admission charge!
Coordinating the event is a labour of love for the team led by Ed Asselstine, The work begins the day after the last show and intensifies as the new show date draws closer.
Judging for prizes is done by the participants.
